Killeen ISD is celebrating the accomplishments of Jamie Stall, Killeen Career Center counselor who has been named a Texas FFA Star Counselor Award State Finalist.

Stall is one of only 12 finalists selected statewide for the prestigious honor, which recognizes school counselors who actively support student success through agricultural education and FFA programs.

School counselors play a critical role in helping students navigate academic pathways and prepare for future careers. The Texas FFA Star Counselor Award recognizes counselors who encourage student participation in agricultural education and FFA, promote awareness of the wide range of career opportunities available within the agriculture industry, support students as they balance academics, leadership development and career preparation, and advocate for agricultural education within their schools and communities.

Agricultural Science Teacher Anastasia Winters nominated Stall for the award, citing her dedication to helping students explore opportunities that align with their interests, strengths and future goals.

Throughout her career, Stall has worked closely with students, families and staff to help students identify educational and career pathways that support long-term success. She understands the value of agricultural education and FFA in developing leadership, responsibility, communication, teamwork and workforce-readiness skills that benefit students well beyond high school.

"I am blessed and grateful for the opportunity to service and support students daily as they pursue their personal, academic, and career goals" said Stall. "The students’ resilience and achievements inspire me to learn and strive to be my very best. I am humbled by this recognition and remain committed to paying it forward."

From a statewide pool of nominations, Texas FFA selected 12 Area Finalists one representing each FFA area across Texas. Stall was chosen to represent her area. As an Area Finalist, Stall has advanced to the final round of consideration for the 2025-2026 Texas FFA Star Counselor Award. The 12 Area Finalists will be recognized during the Texas FFA Convention, scheduled for July 6-10 at the Fort Worth Convention Center, where Texas FFA will announce the overall state winner.
